Somerset Wing Chun Kung Fu Club

With nearly 45 years of Martial Arts experience, I bring a lifetime of cross‑style training and authentic Wing Chun lineage to Somerset Wing Chun Kung Fu.

My journey began with Judo, Boxing, Kuk Sool Won, Shotokan, and Wado Ryu, training across the UK and Berlin.

Everything changed when I discovered Wing Chun, committing to five hours a day under Sifu Harry Cannon before becoming a direct student of Grandmaster Samuel Kwok in 1987.

GM Kwok certified me as an Instructor (1990), Senior Instructor (2006), and Master Instructor (2010). I also received international recognition as a Master of the Martial Arts (Wing Chun) from the World Wide Martial Arts Council in 2012.

I’ve trained extensively with my Sifu's teacher, GMs Ip Chun and Ip Ching, and I have promoted instructors, travelled to Hong Kong and mainland China, and continue to work closely with Samuel Kwok Wing Chun Martial Arts (SKWCMAA) Masters worldwide. Today, I serve as a Board Member of the SKWCMAA.

All of this experience shapes the training at Somerset Wing Chun Kung Fu — offering students authentic, politics‑free, high‑quality Kung Fu in a friendly, supportive environment.
